Following this are the June UNIX Users meeting announcements.
The Software Tools announcements are not as cleanly laid
out as the UNIX announcements since were still struggling
with trying to push ASCII files through an IBM link between
our DEC-20 and our UNIX machines.  The information is there but
it not very pretty!

The Summer 1981 meeting of UNIX* Users sponsored  by  the  Usenix
Association  and  by  the University of Texas will be held on the
University of Texas campus.  The Software Tools Users Group  will
meet on Tuesday, 23 June at the Joe C. Thompson Conference Center
on the University campus.

                     Technical Presentations

     Abstracts are now being accepted from individuals wishing to
make a technical presentation at the conference.  Potential
speakers must submit an abstract (100 - 200 words) to Wally
Wedel.  An agenda will be distributed at the meeting and
abstracts must be screened in advance in order for individuals to
make a presentation.  Session topics are:


Wednesday morning       What's New With UNIX?
Wednesday afternoon     Operating System and Utilities

Thursday morning        UNIX Languages and Applications
Thursday afternoon      UNIX in Office Automation

Friday morning          Graphics and Data Base Systems
Friday afternoon        UNIX in Education

Conference Registration Fees are:

Pre-registration        $50     $15
On-site registration    $100    $30



Completed preregistration form must be received by Monday, 22
June 1981.  Anything received later will be charged full fees.

                        Vendor Exposition

A vendor exposition will be held at the Conference.  Vendors

Software contributions for an Austin Conference Software Tape
will be accepted at the conference.  Actual distribution of the
tape will be made by the Usenix Association to its
members.  Software contributors should bring a tape with a list
