OF 50-MHz INTEL486 DX MICROPROCESSOR

50-MHz Intel486 and SCO multiprocessing operating systems team up
in dramatic demonstration of new chip's high performance capabilities

NEW YORK, NY (June 25, 1991) -- Intel Corp. demonstrated SCO Open Desktop
and SCO MPX on a multiprocessor system based on its new 50-MHz Intel486
DX microprocessor at the product's introduction yesterday. The system,
configured with dual 50-MHz Intel486 DX CPU-cache modules, was shown with
Informix Wingz running on SCO Open Desktop with the SCO MPX multiprocessor
extension.

The Santa Cruz Operation, Inc. (SCO), the world's leading supplier
of open system software for microcomputers, also announced that its SCO UNIX
System V/386, and SCO XENIX 386 operating systems also support the new Intel
microprocessor.

SCO Open Desktop is the complete graphical operating system that brings
advanced workstation capabilities to industry-standard Intel 386- and
486-based PCs and multiprocessor systems. It fully integrates the UNIX
System, a graphical user interface, data management services, distributed
networking, and MS-DOS services -- all in a single package.

SCO MPX is a performance extension to SCO UNIX System V and SCO Open Desktop
that unleashes the full power of Intel 386 and 486 multiprocessor computers.
