Sco UNIX and BSD UNIX have stream driver mechanisms, so we can write device 
driver with the stream interface conviently. Does linux have the same interface ?

BSD Unix doesn't. Some mixed BSD/USL systems do. Streams tend to be slow and
bulky sowe don't support them
