Anybody know what's going on with news 3.0?  Who's carrying the torch, since
Eric's system died?  How long until us beta testers get something new to
beta test?

I'm still here. In fact, I'm about to ship 7.8 to uunet. 7.8 would be *it*
(official production release) except that Mel Pleasant didn't deliver the
NNTP mods he promised for last week and I want those to be in.
