DELAYED AVAILABILITY -- AIX PS/2 OPERATING SYSTEM AND RELATED
LICENSED PROGRAMS

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ANNOUNCEMENT, CHARGES, AND AVAILABILITY
       IBM is announcing a delay in general availability of AIX (TM)
PS/2 (R) Operating System Version 1.2 and related licensed programs.
The decision to delay these products is based on the need for
additional testing, required to ensure the delivery of quality
products.
       The general availability of the following AIX PS/2 licensed
programs, previously announced for fourth quarter 1989, is delayed
until March 30, 1990:
o   AIX PS/2 Operating System Version 1.2 (5713-AEQ)
o   AIX PS/2 Network File System (5713-AFG)
o   AIX PS/2 Transparent Computing Facility (5713-AFK)
o   AIX PS/2 Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol
    Version 1.2 (5713-AEW)
o   AIX PS/2 X.25 (5601-202).
       The Application Program Interface (API) function for the AIX
PS/2 X.25 program will not be available on March 30, 1990.  The
availability date for the API function will be provided in March
1990.  (Refer to Programming Announcement 288-133, dated
March 15, 1988.)
