The software developers are listening.

Many of them are busy with the HTML Working Group (HTML-WG) getting HTML 2
out of the door so that work can begin on HTML 2.x and HTML 3.

The World Wide Web Consortium has taken on much of what CERn was doing --
see http://www.w3c.org/ formore details.
