By writing a cgi program that replaces parameter tags in HTML-like
files, I have created a way to solve a few common problems of www info
providers. First there is the problem of keeping state information
between page accesses, then there is a problem with migrating from one
server to another, when the directory of the new host is different
from that of the previous. These problems are solved by encapsulating
parameter tags in HTML files and have a cgi program replace them with
information provided by other programs or obtained from the
