I don't know what P H-B means by "lossage" wrt to SGML markup.
But as for TEI resources on the Web, I have (possibly stale)
URLs as follows:
http://www.lysator.liu.se/runeberg/teip3files.html
http://www.oulu.fi/TEI.html
http://www.sil.org/sgml/sgml.html
http://etext.virginia.edu/TEI.html

There will certainly be documents marked up in accordance with
TEI on the Web soon after Panorama becomes available. I would
also expect to see documents marked up in accordance with
ISO 12083 (formerly AAP), Docbook, IBMIDDoc, and other DTDs
at about the same time.

Indeed, some may choose to rename their HTML files with .sgml
filename extensions so as to present HTML through Panorama
(and similar browsers soon to follow) while taking advantage
of their style sheet mechanisms.

Regards,
