Acrobat uses compression - this is really the biggest difference between
PDF and SPDL. The current version of the specification supports LZW compression
for text, and JPEG for images.
We had some folks from Adobe round this week talking about future plans
for acrobat that sounded interesting; however, I'm still not convinced that
it has anything to offer over SGML using SPDL style sheets.
