ANNOUNCING THE PRE-RELEASE OF NCSA httpd FOR WINDOWS

NCSA httpd for Windows is done. I have just posted a complete new kit
containing everything that will be in the final release, now estimated
at mid-July. This is simply a "sanity check" release.

This release documents an experimental Windows CGI interface. It has
actually been in a few of the previous releases, and some people have
been quietly evaluating it. As a result of our work, it is also ready
to go. It includes a reference implemetation in Visual Basic which has a
VB module that sets up the complete CGI environment within VB. One
notable feature of the Windows CGI interface is

** Built-in parsing and decoding of Mosaic form fields **

For more information (including a detailed description of the server and
its features), please see the project home page:

Please be patient with this FTP based home page. It will change in a few
weeks.
