As suggested at the WWW '94 Conference, we have now set up the
www-proxy mailing list. This list is meant for *technical* discussion
about WWW proxies, caching, and future directions.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
TO SUBSCRIBE, send mail to:

www-proxy-request@info.cern.ch

and in the message body write:

subscribe www-proxy Your Name

----------------------------------------------------------------------
TO UNSUBSCRIBE, again, send mail to www-proxy-request@info.cern.ch, saying:

unsubscribe www-proxy

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The list address itself is:

www-proxy@info.cern.ch

Mail sent there will be distributed to all subscribers.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
UNDERSTAND THIS:
- *NEVER* send un/subscriptions to the list itself!!! To unsubscribe
from any list blaa@foo.bar, send mail to blaa-request@foo.bar
- always read all the messages from the list *before* replying to any
of them -- this way the same question won't be answered many times
and noise-level goes down
- let's keep the discussion strictly technical; have flame wars
somewhere else

----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you don't know what a WWW proxy is, read our proxy paper:

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheers,
