NCSA Mosaic for the Macintosh User Guide: Tips and Tricks

Running on Powerbooks and Compact Macintoshes

When using NCSA Mosaic on Macintoshes with small screens, you may want to maximize the area for display of the actual document by hiding one or both of the following fields:

  1. URL field (choose Hide URLs command on the Options menu)
  2. status messages (choose Hide Status Messages command on the Options menu)
On black-and-white and gray-scale monitors, make sure you have Underline Anchors checked in the Preferences dialog box. Otherwise, the hyperlinks are hard to see.
